How to Have Clear Healthy Skin and How to Keep It

The skin is the largest organ in the human body. What affects your hair, nails, and any other organs will also affect your skin. Just like your kidneys, the skin serves as an organ of elimination. When your body is toxic, your skin will start to show the symptoms such as dryness, acne, blemishes, eczema, and other skin disorders.

During the upcoming winter season, it is imperative that you baby your skin and take extra precautions with the products you use. If you have dry, sensitive skin, use a heavier moisturizer such asshea butter, mixed with your favorite oils. Regular lotion may not be enough to protect your skin from the harsh winter season. If you wear make-up, wipe it off before you go to bed at night, and stay away from products that clog your pores.

However, the key to clear, healthy skin is to drink lots and lots of water. Water helps to flush out toxins in your body that cause you to break out. In addition, getting a good night sleep (at least 7-8 hours), taking a multivitamin, a healthy diet, and exercise is crucial to keep you skin flawless.

Winter is right around the corner, which for many of us means our skin will start looking like the desert: Dry, cracked, dehydrated. Start looking for a good moisturizer and don’t forget to exfoliate your skin! The trick is finding moisturizers that are truly nontoxic, and using common sense!
