International Artists, Djs and Andra Day Come Together for Benefit Concert
Over the past couple of years, from the Inland Empire to Los Angeles, the issue of Human Trafficking has been sparking up conversations in just about every community, and it affects people of all races. Did you know that every minute two children are trafficked for sexual exploitation? The average age of entry into prostitution is 12 years old for boys and 13 years old for girls. Nearly 50 percent of transnational victims are under the age of 18, and 80 percent of them are females. In the United States alone, over 100,000 children are prostituted per year, and 27 million are currently enslaved in the sex trade globally.
People are starting to bring more awareness to this issue to bring it to a stop.
On Thursday, March 20 at the Supper Club in Los Angeles, Unlikely Heroes hosted a special spring benefit concert which featured acclaimed DJ and producer Summer School, internationally acclaimed artist Nezzo and Warner Bros recording artist Andra Day. Before the concert there was a red carpet session followed by mingling, appetizers and cocktails in a special VIP room. Celebrity guests and patrons also enjoyed taking photos in the photo booth where they captured memories of the special event.
