Justice For Who?
Justice for me! NO justice for YOU! Justice for all, got me climbing a wall, striking me down, taking my crown. I was a King in a past life, just a nigger here in this life. Who knew color could cause stress and strife? Being Black makes me think twice.
Common areas for common things; my color is for me what trouble brings. Fell asleep tryin to write a paper, cop’s were called, here come the cape crusaders. Only hero’s they are not to me, for they continue to oppress you see.
Had a meeting just the other day, hold up…. what did I just hear them say? Police were called cuz’ we wouldn’t leave. We had a meeting but no one believed….just needed to use the restroom!
To profile me racially, judgment passed haste-fully, follow me around your store, your hate of me I can’t ignore. It seems like we’ve been here before! You know what I’ll go. I’ll leave your store. Can’t let YOU take my pride, cops wait just outside, you’re NOT a thief. U ain’t Neva lied. Could’ve told you that inside!
Chicken and waffles how does that sound after a night, my friends and I lounge, a Waffle House here in Tennessee was where James happened to be. After four were killed, he fought heroically. Have you heard from the president? Nah man…too much time is spent hating those who look like me. Didn’t care about those casualties! Too busy wanting to build up HIS wall. There’s no justice here. Not for all; justice is blind that is plain to see, justice for YOU…..but not for ME!
