Kimberly Dansby Keeps The Dream Alive with Lupus Foundation, Helping Others

When your bombarded with any disease it can be devastating, and most will start to feel depressed or in they get into the “why me” slump, but then there the warriors. The ones who despite everything their body will take them trough, they remain strong and become a source of inspiration for others. I interviewed Kimberly Dansby, Founder of The Purple Rose Foundation, in 2012 for a newspaper that I used to work for in San Bernardino. Her story is phenomenal and the way that she is being an inspiration to others with Lupus is amazing! Dansby is one of the select few individuals who have continued to follow after interviewing her and she definitely has to be applauded.

She started The Purple Rose Foundation in 2010 to spread Lupus awareness, education and provide support to those living with the disease. Purple Rose prides itself on the impact it has made in the community both locally and nationally with our efforts to raise funds and also raise awareness about this auto immune disease that affects more than 1.5 million Americans. Dansby has gone to Capitol hill to raise funds for Lupus research and led several conferences on Lupus. Purple Rose had the pleasure of holding a Lupus awareness banquet in which Actress and Co-Visionary of the We Win Foundation Tichina Arnold and Assemblyman Jose Medina were in attendance.
