Schools also cannot make it a requirement for your kid to take medication to receive special education services. Therefore, parents always obtain a second/third opinion from a relevant counselor. Culture, ethnicity, language matters drastically. Do your research and also purchase the DSM-5 as a copy to know what criteria’s are needed to diagnosis and not diagnosis because I will bet your kid is misdiagnosed!
