Poetry Corner: Be Woke Go Vote

That time of the year seasons of change,

Let’s go out and make some,

Please stop complaining.

Do your research,

Look at the agendas,

Even deeper than Democratic and Republican parties,

And a catchie quote.

Our vote matters,

Or why would they try so hard to stop you from going,

Look at the history,

Get up take a stand,

And stop the innocent blood raining.

They led the ships that captured free Africans and made them slaves,

Hands that once picked cotton can now vote!
