Poetry Corner: Clockers

Prejudice down to the core,

Never wondering or wanting to learn more.

They put monopolies and guidelines,

To stop us from being what we want to be.

The system was designed for us to fail,

The 13th amendment unjust decree to treat us like 1865 and before.

You gotta start realizing we’re free,

When we stop caring what they think about us,

We’re conscious and think more than what you see.
