Poetry Corner: Contradiction

Life birthed me a true contradiction to the meaning fatherless son,

Maybe I’m too gifted and talented for the nonsense,

In fact just too conscious.

In a world full of sex,

I don’t want to fuck,

I want to make love,

What’s your true definition of man?

Is it the narrative of the naïve boy pockets and nuts full of chemicals with sagging pants,

But let us not forget you’re a real nigga’ with a felony,

In a cell block whose education is on permanent vacation.

Determined to make a million,

Like the 80s reckless killings like a movie villain,

But doomed to voluntary slavery,

You can’t expect a different result with the same formula,

Times have changed everything,

But the game advanced!
