Poetry Corner: Lifetime

Since birth born into this this world with that priceless gift given to more than a rare few pigmentation a.k.a melanin would fuel their intention of destruction.

Even though at times we believed things couldn’t get any worse we had proof and you still tried to pretend you had no clue.

Our superiority has been forever demonstrated, the resilience to survive and make the negative a positive and so feared they label us the head of terrorism and corruption.

We’ve been at this for quite some time and I’ve experienced a lot of darkness but even on my death bed I see the light in the world I believe in you.
