Poetry Corner: Power to the People

Rise up,

I’m talking now rather than later,

Educate yourselves and each other,

Learn some revolutionary tactics,

Huey X creating Black Panthers the sequel.

Why wait for tomorrow what we can do today,

We can adapt everything,

But time so don’t wait for change to provoke it.

Time is limitless from the beginning to the end,

We created culture the initial DNA,

But now we’re following trends,

Expect us to not break just bend,

Enslaved for millennia seems like forever,

No longer seen as equal.

Treat people like who they are despite where they are,

Push the conversation forward “Purposely Awakened” not broken,

Just awoken my people I quote it.
