Poetry Corner: Tactics of Protest
Entrenched in my beliefs,
Willing to sacrifice,
We’re not playing guess who unwilling to lose.
We’ve adapted and changed since the era of the Civil Rights days,
A little less patient with a bit more rage,
Revolutionary principles so raw.
Martin and Malcolm taught us valuable lessons,
Add the panthers Bobby and Huey showed us the blueprint in how to move.
400 years a slave is enough,
Maybe looking to our ancestors killed for no reason is the last straw,
So now we appropriate disobeying yours and making our own laws.
