Poetry Corner: The Perfectly Imperfect Bond

People will throw out many things

That cause a relationship to fail

They’ll mention every little thing under the sun

Then continue to make the same mistake in the next relationship

This mistake of trying to look and capture perfection,

Is what has and will keep many people alone forever,

Unless they change their mindset.

See a long-lasting and REAL relationship is far from perfect,

But that is what makes it BEAUTIFUL.

A “perfect” relationship or one that people make up in their head, has no substance and soon dies off due to unrealistic expectations.

But an imperfect relationship gives us that balance.

It doesn’t have any exceptions,

But is merely based on 3 important things,

Communication, Honesty and Respect.

Communication being the biggest leader of the bunch,

Brings about understanding which lays the foundation down for honesty and respect in return builds trust.

That imperfect relationship is where things just flow naturally.

There’s no pressure to feel the urge to rush things.

There’s that patience.

In an imperfect relationship you build that bond like no other that just gets stronger over time.

See an imperfect relationship is non-traditional but it’s one of the best and unique ones out there.

Most Traditional and “perfect” relationships have constant nagging, arguing and drama.

Whilst that imperfect relationship will come with disagreements but you both learn the true art of compromise and understanding.

You avoid all the unnecessary drama.

So embrace that imperfect relationship that God had blessed you to be in.

Trust, in the beginning you may not understand but it will all be worth it.

And God will be there with you every step of the way to help guide you.
