Poetry Corner: The Wall
I couldn’t tell you when it started,
I’m guessing sometime when my conscious departed,
Built up of raw emotions of you jump the fall is steep.
Never taught to embrace our energy existence,
So blinded I became apart of the resistance turning everything I was into the street.
I look back and realize I was running not to something but from myself to remain in silence,
Everything I felt made me elusive because my world would collapse these words I was afraid to speak.
Letting you in was never a choice always at a distance never to get close to me,
Today I’m free I lived through that once unimaginable feat.
