Portrait Of Love
Once upon a time…wait, to HELL with that line. When it comes to love, no one can be blind. Believing in “true love” and all that comes with, it’s seems the reality…..is probably a myth.
Paint a perfect picture, take a picture of love and think to yourself, what are your thoughts of? Is it what it needs to be, is it love unconditionally? Is it tall, tan and teasing, is it you that it’s pleasing?
Does it always have your back…is it the meal or just a snack? Love is ideal, so what’s the appeal? Would you know it if it slapped you in the face….does it come and go without a trace?
Is it gentle and kind….giving peace of mind, is it hard to find, color outside the lined… places of a heart or does it rip worlds apart? Is it secure and full of love, is it put above….everything else or does it only think of self?
Does it happen quick or slow…satisfied beyond belief, or when it’s over, there’s nothing but relief? Is it a challenge for the good, or does it think…I wish you would… cuz its always fighting — is it ever trying…. to see a point of view, does it even understand…what its been through?
Is it still waiting for that ring…same ole song it still sings, some day…maybe one day, it’ll get that bling? How much more proving does it have to do, before it truly sees through….the partner it has always been…is it an enemy or is it a friend?
This portrait you paint, it’s not of a saint…it’s a sinner, the sooner that’s realized…it’ll definitely be a winner. It can’t pretend to be something it’s not, feelings twisted, tied up in knots. Just make sure your portrait of love is real — look both ways before you cross that street….you’re already complete. Coming from a place of boldness, you recognize your wholeness….no preservatives or additives, it knows what you came wit….your soul it won’t steal… make sure your portrait of love…is real!
