Are you finding yourself falling into a fitness rut? Does the gym seem too far away? Does your workout feel too boring or too exhausting? Are you beginning to lose your motivation? Don’t worry; it happens to the best of us, especially when the seasons change.
We are now beginning to enjoy the autumn weather, and winter is just around the corner. We can smell it in the air. Love, family gatherings, special feasts and happy holidays are all on your mind. However, these aren’t reasons to abandon your health. Below are some ways to re-kick-start your fitness plan.
1. Find a new motivation.
If your goal over the summer was to fit into that itty bitty bikini it is time for a new motivation. Don’t stop. You need a new motivation; a new challenge. Maybe you’ve been invited to a Christmas party or a rockin’ New Year Eve’s party. Of course, you will need an amazing dress! Also, if you were able to fit into your dream bikini over the summer wouldn’t you still want to next summer?
2. Change Your Routine.
Sometimes routines get boring. It happens. If you completed a program move on to another one, especially if it is becoming too easy for you. You should always be challenging yourself. Out of challenge, come great results.
3. Stay Active.
The chilly weather puts us in the mood to snuggle on the couch with a blanket and hot chocolate. Although it is a lovely treat, too much is not good for our waistbands. Find out what’s going on in your community during these seasons. Get involved.
4. Remember Your Health.
We all worry about the number on the scale; however, more importantly than that is what’s going on inside of our bodies. It’s not about the bikini or the dress, or all of the lovely compliments. It is about living the best you can. Healthy living is long living.
