Struggling Successes

I took a chance on my dreams and I step out on faith. I quit my job and decided to build my business full-time. It’s only been a year and while I have had some successes I can’t help but to think I should be in a different place in my career. I feel like I should have made it by now. As I watch others around me grow I feel stagnate and unsure about the decision I made. I know that things don’t happen overnight but how do you get over the hump? How do you continue to push forward when your timeline seems to be crumbling around you?

Struggling Successes, you are right on time with this topic. I just had a similar conversation with a good friend and business partner about the same thing. Simply put our timeline is not God’s timeline. It’s human nature to plan things out, especially when it comes to money and living necessities, but as I was once told, when you are making plans write them down in pencil because our plans are not permanent.
You see once we realize what God has for each of us it’s up to the individual to make the choice to act on it. So, I commend you for stepping out on Faith and making your desires a reality. Now all you have to do is follow through. The first and most difficult step you have already conquered. Staying the course can be difficult as you mentioned, that hump can be harder than you thought to get over. Hold steadfast to your Faith and anything is possible.
If I had to give you any advice it would be not to compare your business and how successful it is to anyone else. You see, your path is design for only you to drive and the minute you try to drive in someone else’s lane you lose sight of your destination. Everything happens in time, God’s time. There is no time limit on success especially when you are about our Father’s business.
Sometimes when those humps and bumps come its God’s way of saying ‘be still’ because He is about to provide and if you are so busy moving you can easily miss what’s coming. So, even though it may look as if others are succeeding what God has for you is for you. Being able to do what you love is a blessing but knowing that you are doing what God would have you to do is an AMAZING feeling. The struggle makes success even that much better, especially if you are doing it ‘LIVING OUT LOUD.’
