I’m stuck. I’m not progressing professionally as I would like and I don’t know what to do differently to move forward. I’m in a weird space. I can see my future and what I want to do but I can’t see the steps to get me there. I don’t know where to start. I’m hesitant about applying for jobs because I’m unsure of which direction I should be going. I feel like I know the ending of a movie but I don’t know what happens to get to that point. HELP?!?!?!?! How do I move forward?

The first thing you do is PRAY for discernment in your career progression. Ask God to provide a path to your destiny. Once you do that ‘Be Still’ wait on the Lord. Then when He has revealed your purpose move with passion in the right direction. It’s a process, like the saying goes, He may not come when you want Him but He’s always right on time.

The feeling of uncertainty is quite natural. We tend to put a lot of pressure on ourselves as well as others, to succeed in life but the world’s measure of success is so generic. What most people don’t realize is that success is an individual definition. My goals are not yours. There are levels to this thing we call life.

Take the things you are good at plus the things you are interested in, add prayer, research, hard-work, networking, and dedication. That equals purpose. Don’t compare yourself to others. Don’t stress over the process. God chose YOU and only YOU to be successful in YOUR purpose. Sure there are numerous people with seemingly the same dream but I guarantee no one takes the same path, experiences the same obstacles, or overcomes the same way. This means that the outcome will be unique, just like YOU.

Take the time to REVIEW your past, EVALUATE your present, and prayerfully PREPARE for your future. I know this can be quite stressful and confusing, so just take a minute, then step out on faith and start Living Out LOUD!!!!!
