The Cultured Society Creates Platform for Creative and Professional Millennials to Meet
Tiffany Bivins recently launched The Cultured Society in order to give a trusted and irreplaceable wellspring of information, resources, and amusement while fortifying the cultural experience of the communities that they serve.
Mr. Bivins was born and raised on the Southside of Georgia. He is a military veteran turned techie, “I enjoy being involved with all things tech and education focused,” he stated.
Bivens spent most of his younger years empowering and entertaining others through radio. In addition to The Cultured Club, another one of Bivens’ entrepreneurial endeavors is The Socialite Show, a resource focused show, where the cast discuss politics, finances, community development, and a realm of other relevant topics. He wants to rouse the audience to indulge in various perspectives, see the world through the lens of others, and engage with their peers on various levels.
I recently had the pleasure of interviewing the founder of The Cultured Society and host of “The Socialite Show.”
What advice do you have for future millennial entrepreneurs?
I would say, “Stay focused”. Entrepreneurship is not an easy path. It takes work, so be willing to put in the work. Also, make sure you are getting into entrepreneurship for the right reasons. Be passionate about what you are doing and everything else will come together.
How has the journey been like for since starting your own business?
Since starting my own business I have become busier I work more than I ever have in my life so don’t think starting your own will be easy. My life has also gotten better from the perspective of having a sense of fulfillment, I feel good when I am able to help someone. It’s also empowering me and giving me confidence to do more.
What inspired you to get into Black media?
I was inspired to get into Black media because I saw a lack of educational resources out there for the millennial, in particular. Although there are lots of blogs, resources, podcasts, etc., there aren’t very many resources that provide actionable tips. I wanted to take education and enlightenment and make it fun for the audience.
What are your goals for The Cultured Society?
To grow the audience. I want Cultured Society to have a massive reach. The more people we can reach, the more we will be able to help and educate.
What can listeners except when they tune into the show?
When listeners tune into the show they will be hearing from guests that are accomplished and knowledgeable in their respective fields. These guests are subject matter experts and have valuable assets to provide to the listeners, especially to millennials. They are entrepreneurs, educators, politicians, and more.
What other activities are you involved in?
We at the Socialite Show also do quite a bit of non-profit work such as The Urban Innovation Initiative, geared towards providing tech-focused education and training to underserved youth. Our mission is to diversify the tech palette and put more people of color in the talent pipelines for STEM opportunities.
