Think Like a Man, Act Like a Lady Hits Theaters 2012

Sony Pictures Entertainment‘s Face of the Fan program has announced a casting call for the Act Like a Lady, Think Like A Man film, based on the comedian, talk show host, and author Steve Harvey‘s national best seller in April 2011.

Steve Harvey released his (somewhat) controversial book “Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man: What Men Really Think About Love, Relationships, Intimacy, and Commitment” only two years ago, and has sold over 2 million copies. Now, you can look forward to seeing the adaption on the big screen!

The film will be produced by Rainforest Films‘ William Packer, who also collaborated with Screen Gems on such hits as Stomp the Yard, This Christmas, and Takers.

If you have not read the book yet, read it before watching the movie. The book provides a straight forward, no nonsense approach on the topic of love, and he gives advice to women about what men really want in relationships. The movie will be a romantic comedy centered on a relationship expert who cannot keep his own love life in order. The synopsis of the book states:

“Steve Harvey I can’t count the number of impressive women he’s met over the years. […] These are women who can run a small business, keep a household with three kids in tiptop shape, and chair a church group all at the same time. Yet when it comes to relationships, they can’t figure out what makes men tick. Why? According to Steve it’s because they’re asking other women for advice when only another man can tell them how to find and keep a man.”

The film is titled Think Like a Man, and is set to premier in theaters in 2012. The stars include the Gabrielle Union, Kevin Hart, Michael Ealy(rumored), and actress Taraji P. Henson (rumored).
