YOU OPENED YOUR LEGS BEFORE I OPENED MY HEART

In today’s society, relationships and dating have a major impact on just about every human being. Men and women want to know how to have a successful relationship and most importantly how to keep that relationship. There are several books out there on relationships; however, each author has to have something that sets them aside from other authors. The author of, You Opened Your Legs Before I Opened My Heart, Jerald J. Howard goes in depth of relationships and love through the pages of the book.

Although, the characters in the book are fictional, the message portrayed throughout the book occurs in every day life, which is why the audience can connect with it. It’s entertaining, yet at the same time it intrigues your mind and makes you think. I had the pleasure of interviewing the 03′ Clemson University graduate and asked him a few questions on his views on relationships.

What motivated you to write the book ‘You Opened Your Legs Before I Opened My Heart‘?

People’s ideas from both the woman’s and man’s perspective on how love is. Men and woman have very different views on love and relationships.

What other books have you written?

1 Life, 1 Night, This Is What I Signed Up For; and When No Means Yes

When did you start writing?

I’ve been writing all of my life, but i’ve been published since 2009.

What are your views on relationships between men and women in today’s society?

It’s what you make it. The best relationships stem from listening and learning and communicating. The worst relationships are when both counterparts

are nonchalant about that they want and need out of the relationship; and not truly getting to know the other person.

A lot of black woman often complain on how they can’t find a good black man. Do you agree that one of the reasons for that is because they are so easily willingly to give it up? Why or why not?
Sex definitely plays a huge role. but every man can be a mr. right or mr, wrong depending on the type of woman.

What advice would you give to the young people out there?
Love and respect yourself before you can tell what’s love and what’s fake and real. Do what’s best for you until then.

What are some quotes that you live by?
“A love that hurts should be set free,” “Every heart isn’t for you.”

Where can the people find you books and get in contact with you?
Facebook is the main source. They can also email me and order my books from the website. Also a percentage of the sales goes to breast cancer.
